A perennial plant which has an underground rhizome, fine silvery grey woolly leaves, and golden globe flowers on tall and stout stalks. Flowering from spring to summer, the blooms are superb cut flowers and for drying. Drought tolerant but perform best on a moist and well drained soil, in sun to part shade. Frost hardy, and can be used in coastal gardens and for heavy soils. This plant used to be known as Craspedia globosa.

SEED SOWING – Sow direct where they are to grow or in pots, using a good quality seed raising mix. Only just cover the seed with soil, they are not to be planted too deeply. Keep moist but not wet until germination. Germination is in 14 to 21 days. In warmer climates they can be sown in spring, summer and autumn. In cooler areas sow spring to late summer.

The Gardening With Angus seed range is a mix of species  that are either wild sourced from licensed harvesters or superior species selections grown in cultivation. The seeds are thoroughly tested for quality, viability & germination. They are meticulously cleaned followed by oxygen deprivation storage, before being sealed for freshness within a heat sealed seed sachet.


We can only sell our products to Australian customers. All products apart from the seeds have the postage prices included in the price. Seeds have a flat $10 postage charge which will be added at the checkout. Multiple packets of seeds can be ordered for the $10 postage charge.

Please Note:  Seeds can be sent to all Australian states with the exception of Tasmania. 

PLANTS can only be sent to Queensland, NSW, The ACT, Victoria and Tasmania. WE CANNOT SEND PLANTS TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA, WEST AUSTRALIA OR THE NORTHERN TERRITORY due to quarantine restrictions!
