A great way to find out more about Australian native plants in your local area is to join your local Australian native plants society. There are groups all over Australia.

For more information and links to the national group and your state group, go to my page on the Australian Plant Society

Bushcare and Landcare are fantastic community groups, dedicated to caring for our native ecology.

There are some fabulous specialist native plant retailers around Australia that I can recommend. You should be able to find most, if not all, the plants in the database at these nurseries. If they do not have them in stock they can usually get them for you. You’ll get great advice on your garden from these specialists-

The Wildflower Place at Erina on the NSW Central Coast

Sydney Wildflower Nursery at Heathcote

Newcastle Wildflower Nursery is at Glendale in Newcastle

Nielsen’s Native Nursery in Brisbane

Kuranga Nursery in Mt Evelyn near Melbourne

I love gardens and landscaping. Increasingly landscapers and garden designers are using my beloved native plants in their work, and I have some favourite ones who are truly passionate about Australian plants and create amazing spaces with them. Here’s a great website to inspire you-
