Koonya Garlic Festival
An annual event in February in Tasmania, fast becoming a must to visit!
The festival is in Febuary each year, on a date to be decided (covid restrictions permitting)….check out the Garlic Festival website for the date….
The annual Koonya Garlic Festival is a uniquely original Tasmanian experience that celebrates the joy of garlic, the food it flavours and the music and arts that it inspires.
Every year there are foodtrucks and food stalls to enjoy, and award winning drinks places to savour. You can wander round the other stalls and also enjoy the music.
The fabulous garlic inspired cooking demonstrations from celebrated chefs will inspire your own foodie adventures after the event. The talks on horticultural topics will help the grow-your-owns. The garlic competition will showcase the results of expert and amateur growers. A garlic plaiting workshop and a garlic pinata are not to be missed! There is lots of other things to do for the kids, too, to make this a great family day out.
Visitors to the Tasman Peninsula area have lots of other things to do before and after the festival, too, so come explore this wonderful area and see why Angus fell in love with it.
