An attractive medium sized shrub, growing from 1 to 2 metres tall and wide. It has a main flush of pendulous attractive red flowers in spring to summer, with spot flowering through the rest of the year, which attract birds. It is frost and drought tolerant, heavy frosts can damage the foliage. It responds well to pruning to create a more dense plant, useful for informal hedging and screening. Good in sun and light shade.
