MAD ABOUT DIRT

  • 10 am to 1 pm: Narara Valley High School, Fountains Road, Narara, NSW 2250.
  • 1 to 4 pm: Narara Ecovillage, 25 Research Road, Narara, NSW 2250.

This event is a must do for all who know how important soil is to so many areas of life, and who would like to learn more. Join Angus Stewart, Tino Carnivale, soil scientist Simon Leake and other experts as they lead talks and also answer questions. Practical demonstrations, soil science and analysis (testing and tasting!), composting and worm farms, permaculture and regenerative agriculture, chemistry and biology, and getting hands on with it all.

1st and 2nd of June, 8.30 am – 4 pm on Saturday and 8.30 am – 3pm on Sunday

Rocklea Showgrounds, corner of Ipswich Road and Guburra Street, Rocklea

Entry $7, children under 15 free!

A unique gardening event with a strong focus on rare , unusual and difficult to find plants from around the world, sold by local and interstate growers and retailers.  Talks from the experts Including Angus Stewart), great food and drinks available. Free parking, plant creche available

 

Royal Horticultural Society Of Victoria – Gardener’s Day Out 2019

Saturday the 15th June, from 9.30. Entry $15

Rusden Theatre, Deakin University, Burwood Highway, Burwood

Celebrating the RHSV being 170 years old/young.

Featured presenters are Angus Stewart from the ABC Gardening Australia and beyond, John Arnott from the Cranbourne Botanic Garden and Diana Sargent from Silkie Roses. Individually they are great to experience but together at the one event it will be a magnificent occasion. They are supported by the vibrant ambience provided by the venue, the plant and product sellers and the combined mass of over 400 gardeners enjoying themselves. Space is always limited and first in is first served.
