An open growing shrub with small pointed leaves, and a beautiful sight in flower, with long tubular pink flowers massed along the stems. Very attractive to nectar loving birds and insects. Grows to around a metre high and wide. Flowers in spring and again in autumn. Likes a moist but well drained slightly acid soil and light shade, protect from winds. Mulch to help keep the soil moist and cool. Tolerates light frost. Good in a pot.
