Dryandra formosa – Showy Dryandra

A medium to large shrub with large and beautiful flowers of yellow or orange in spring, which make great cut flowers. Best in Mediterranean and temperate climates, with dry summers, as it is shorter lived in more humid climates. Needs a well drained soil and full sun to part shade. Prune to encourage a more dense habit. Grows to 3 metres tall and 2 metres wide. Tolerates moderate frosts once established.
This plant is also known as Banksia formosa by some botanical authorities.
