Australian Plant Society
A great way to find out more about Australian native plants in your local area is to join your local Australian native plants society. There are groups all over Australia.
I’m a member. I know from my own experience that everyone is very friendly and keen to share their enthusiasm for Australian plants. People of all levels of experience, from beginners to experts, are welcome.
Australian Plant Society Events
Activities vary between groups, but most groups have meetings with guest speakers, garden visits, walks, plant sales, plant identification, community projects and much more.
There are local newsletters, state magazines and the national quarterly journal Australian Plants.
