The annual Koonya Garlic Festival is a uniquely original Tasmanian experience that celebrates the joy of garlic, the food it flavours and the music and arts that it inspires. The 2018 Festival in February was a fabulous day, in spite of the rain, so be sure not to miss it in 2019.
With foodtrucks and food stalls to enjoy, award winning drinks places, while you wander round the other stalls. The fabulous garlic inspired cooking demonstrations from celebrated chefs will inspire your own foodie adventures after the event. Talks on horticultural topics will help the grow-your-owns, while the garlic competition will showcase the results of expert growers. A garlic plaiting workshop and a garlic pinata are not to be missed! There is lots of other things to do for the kids, too, as well as music entertainment for all.
Visitors to the Tasman Peninsula area have lots of other things to do before and after the festival, too, so come explore this wonderful area and see why Angus fell in love with it- http://www.koonyagarlicfestival.com/things-to-do.html
