Acmena smithii ‘Red Head’ – Lilly Pilly

Acmena ‘Red Head’ is a compact, fast growing shrub with coppery red new growth, and a dense growth habit, making it a great hedge and topiary plant. A tall variety of lilly pilly, growing to around 4 metres tall and 2 metres wide. A good easy care plant that responds well to pruning. Tolerates a wide range of soils, but prefers a moist well drained soil in a sunny to semi shaded position. Rarely troubled by pests or diseases, and is resistant to psyllids and myrtle rust.
